This remains largely theoretical, with no AGI systems currently existing in production. Example: OpenAI, Anthropic, and other AI research organizations are conducting research toward AGI development, with systems like GPT-4 representing significant steps toward more generalized capabilities, though still falling short of true AGI criteria.
