A seed phrase is a sequence of 12 to 24 randomly generated words that function as the master cryptographic key for a cryptocurrency wallet. These words are typically selected from a standardized list of 2,048 possibilities and arranged in a specific order to create a deterministic wallet from which all private keys and addresses can be mathematically derived. Seed phrases follow the BIP39 standard, making them compatible across different wallet implementations.
