Kelp DAO
Web3 / defi
Kelp DAO is a liquid restaking protocol that issues rsETH, a liquid restaking token representing a diversified basket of staked ETH positions deployed through EigenLayer. The protocol allows Ethereum stakers to earn additional yield by restaking their ETH into EigenLayer's actively validated services while maintaining liquidity through the rsETH token. Kelp DAO abstracts the complexity of managing multiple restaking positions, enabling users to participate in the restaking economy without directly interacting with multiple protocols or managing slashing risks across different operators. Example: A user deposits 10 ETH into Kelp DAO and receives rsETH, which accrues yield from both Ethereum staking rewards and EigenLayer AVS rewards. This rsETH can be used in DeFi protocols like Aave or Curve while the underlying ETH continues generating restaking yields. Why it matters for DeFi: Kelp DAO unlocks additional yield opportunities for Ethereum stakers while creating a liquid, composable asset. rsETH can be leveraged across DeFi protocols, amplifying capital efficiency and enabling stakers to earn multiple streams of yield simultaneously without sacrificing liquidity or exposure to other opportunities.
